  • Is this program right for my child?
Our program is designed for children with disabilities who have not fully developed their physical literacy, or would benefit from a program that gets them moving and being active while practicing various fundamental fine and gross motor skills. If you are unsure, please contact us, and we would love to discuss with you personally.
  • How much does it cost?
Our programs are typically $9 per session. As a non-profit, we invest all proceeds back into improving our programming.
  • How are sessions run?
Kids Program: Each week, your 5-12 year old child will be introduced to a new sport and will work one-on-one with their volunteer to develop fundamental physical literacy skills, with plenty of fun along the way! Every session starts with a group warm-up activity and ends with a cool-down game to get your kid moving. Teen Program: By working with a trained guest athlete instructor each session, your child will build upon physical literacy skills in various specialized activities. Working one-on-one with their volunteer, 13-18 year old participants will have the opportunity to explore new sports and develop their skills through team games.
  • When are sessions?
    Adapted Sport : Saturdays 11:50 AM - 12:35 PM Teen: Sundays 2:25 - 3:10 PM
  • Who are the volunteers?
Our volunteers are university students from across the region that are passionate about working with kids and youth. Every volunteer goes through an interview process and training program, and must have a clean criminal record check in order to volunteer for us.
  • How do you choose a volunteer for my child?
By using the information you provide us with during registration, our knowledge of each volunteer, and the feedback from each session, we make every effort to pair your child with the volunteer that will help them succeed!
  • Where are your sessions held?
Our programming is run in the gymnasium at Killarney Community Centre, 6260 Killarney Street, Vancouver.
